BatCare
Despite our unified passion for cricket, most players, casual and even professional, make the common mistake of not taking care of their prized possessions - cricket bats.
Whenever you buy a bat, it is a must to ensure that you take special care to knock it in to prevent damage and maintain stellar stroke-making on the pitch. Even bats that claim to be “pre-prepared” in the factory, will still need a minimum of 2-hours knocking-in before it can be used in a game. Knocking in compresses, knits the fibres together and prepares your bat to take on every shot head on and give you an assured response every time you step on the front foot.
Even when the cricket season has ended, oiling becomes necessary to maintain proper moisture levels in the willow and any cracks should be sealed to ensure that the bat remains in perfect condition to be carried on to the next season.
